Timeline

The walls were here long before us. We only listened.

  1. 1912

    The villa

    A villa is built on the hill. In time it becomes a consulate.

  2. 1926

    The police tower

    The British add a police tower beside it.

  3. 1941

    The fort

    The building grows into a full British fort around the courtyard.

  4. 1948

    The Palmach

    The fort passes into the hands of the Palmach.

  5. Today

    Full restoration

    Restored stone by stone. We host one group at a time.
